About The Confederate House
The Confederate House started as a private home; but after requests to open up to the public, it is now a Bed & Breakfast. Due to its original design as a home, the rooms are larger than those of other inns, and the Confederate House has two kitchens.
Walking through the front door of The Confederate House, you enter the grand ballroom. Decorated with chandeliers and period furniture, you can imagine the dances that were held in this hall over a hundred years ago.
The gardens are alive with flowers during all seasons, including Confederate Jasmine. The front porch is surrounded by 40-foot columns and is a favorite resting place of many of our guests, with a view of the fountain and the park. There are also more secluded parts of the garden if you just want to enjoy the peace and quiet.
Visit The Confederate House and be greeted by a friendly staff who knows you deserve a break, and who have a love of service.
